PREGNANCY & PRANAYAMA

As well as the physical poses, breathing is also an integral part of practising yoga. Yogic breathing brings more oxygen to the blood and brain, which improves health, relaxes the body and concentrates the mind.

During pregnancy when your body is changing physically, hormones are fluctuating and you may be at a heightened state of excitement mixed with anxiety.

Using breathing techniques during yoga and relaxation can help to reduce stress, increase blood flow around the body and concentrate your thoughts. All of which can be valuable and have positive effects. These techniques can also be used during the birth
