The Venue

Spacious Lanna-style pavilions overlook terraced rice fields and the mountains in the beautiful Mae Rim Valley, 25 minutes from the artistic and cultural heritage of Thailand's northern capital.

Accommodation

Thai Hotels - Four Seasons Resort, Chaing Mai - PoolClusters of Lanna-style pavilions, each 70 sq metres, are decorated with rich Thai materials and fabrics, overlook gardens, terraced rice paddies and mountain views.

Sixteen palatial Residence Suites housed in three or four storey villas offer master, guest and children's bedrooms with private plunge pools or rooftop penthouse and come complete with their own live-in house keeper (Mae Baan).

Food

Savour the unique flavours of northern and vegetarian Thai specialties at Sala Mae Rim, renowned for its sumptuous Thai cuisine. The restaurant has a high teak wood ceiling which complements Northern Thai artifacts and sweeping views of the Mae Rim Valley.

Yoga

Thai Hotels - Four Seasons Resort, Chaing Mai - YogaAll yoga sessions are conducted in the Yoga Barn, modelled after the ancient rice barns that dot the landscape, and overlooking the mountain range of the Mae Rim Valley, two small lakes, lily ponds and a terraced working rice farm complete with its own family of water buffalo.

Private and group yoga classes are suitable for all levels. Group classes are limited to five persons. Yoga mats, towels and water are provided.

Spa

The spa offers an indulgent sanctuary of harmony for mind, body and spirit. The fragrance of specially blended oils, herbs and spices immediately envoke a sense of relaxation and anticipation of the experience ahead. Treatments are inspired by ancient Thail rituals using native herbs,spices and aromatic oils created through rural methods and focusing on the use of organic ingredients

The Spa was chosen as the World's Best Spa by Conde Nast Traveller (UK) in the 2007 Reader's Award. There are seven spacious treatment suites, suitable for couples and individuals. Ech offers a variety of facilities, including outdoor showers, private herbal steam rooms and outdoor soaking tubs. Two of the suites have tropical rain-shower massage tables.
